Ice Cream Cows Articulation for /k/, /g/, /s/blends, /s/ and /z/

Hello friends! Sorry for the delay in posting to my blog. I'm hoping to get into a better routine of adding posts to my blog as the year winds down, but I shouldn't make any promises! I finally finished the rest of my Ice Cream Cows Articulation pack for K, G, S-blends, S, and Z. Check it out here on my TPT store!

I've used this set with two different games that are included in this articulation pack. The first game is Scoop the Scoops. To play, grab a set of the sun cards, their target sound ice cream scoops, and put them facedown on the table or in a grab-bag. They're trying to collect the most scoops to put in their cone to win the game. But watch out for the sun! It will melt their scoops and they'll have to put one or two scoops back into the pile! It's a great game to keep the students engaged and it keeps some competition running wild in my speech room! I always play with my students and it makes therapy so much fun!

The last game included in this set is a board game that can be glued and laminated to a file folder for durability. Grab these cute games in my articulation set of Ice Cream Cows at my TPT store! Enjoy!

Free Beach Games!!!

Sorry for the delay in posts, but my life has been nothing short of crazy these days! Work has been super busy and Adam and I are preparing some trips coming up in the months of May and June. In these dreary, cold, rainy days in Iowa, I've got my mind on the beaches of Mexico! That's our big trip in June where my brother is having a destination wedding! So, I made some beach games for those of you out there who are also dreaming of warmer, sunnier weather! Grab them over at my TPT store here!

I love using the Roll and Cover themed games with my articulation students. I have them roll the die on their turn, then say their word that many times before they get to cover up that number. It's such a quick and easy game and doesn't distract too much from the goal of each therapy session. You can play with as many students as you want! Here's a sample:

Who doesn't love a good old-fashioned mini board game? My students love a little competition to see who can get to the finish-line first. This game-board is based on who can build a sandcastle first. Watch out for the crabs, though. They'll pinch you and you'll have to move back two spaces.

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know how your students are liking the beach themed game-boards! Also, check out my other blog I share with another awesome SLP, Courtney: TheTalkingOwls! Courtney has posted some amazing materials on that blog and you can grab them on her TPT store!

Beach Verb Grammar Set

Check out my latest TPT material that I spent my Saturday evening making while my husband was busy watching basketball! I always find that I don't have enough materials targeting those stubborn verb tenses that so many of my language impaired students struggle with. Grab it at my TPT store!

Check out the cute cards with shells and cute action verb clipart which I got from MyCuteGraphics.com. The pictures below show you what the target cards and answer cards look like for the 3rd person singular verbs!

And here is one of the three buckets your students can use to collect their shells!

I hope you enjoy this fun grammar game in preparation for fun in the sun this summer!
Leave me a comment below! :)

Ice Cream Cows K Articulation Freebie

Alright so here is my first product I made with the wonderful ScrappinDoodles clipart! I have been following many fellow SLP blogs throughout this school year and with my love of Pinterest, I decided why not have a TPT store so that I can create EXACTLY what my students need and maybe help other SLPs spice up their therapy activities too!

This Ice Cream Cows pack includes a board game template that can be printed out and glued onto a file folder to target any speech-language goal. You'll just need a file folder, dice, and game pieces from any old game you have on your therapy shelf!

It also includes another game called SCOOP MY SCOOPS which was creatively named by my wonderful husband! Students try to collect the most ice cream scoops for their cone to win the game. Each scoop (27 total) contains a target /k/ word and includes a target picture. I think pictures are so important for /k/ because most of my students working on /k/ can't read yet! The catch of the game is that there are also 9 cards with adorable sun pictures on them that can melt 1 or 2 of the scoops the students' have collected. If they get a sun they have to put a scoop or two (depending on the sun) back into the draw pile.

My students LOVE games like this and I think it will be a lot of fun to incorporate targets into the game itself. It's much better than finding my /k/ cards at one of my two schools and then figuring out a game to play too. This game is ideal for small groups, or you can play with your student for those 1:1 sessions. It can be played for any length of session too, so you could even use it with your Speedy Speech kiddos!
